Forty Days Over Forty Smiles Foundation is inviting people to give toward the Little by Little Campaign, an effort to establish mobile libraries in Kibuli so that children can access books easily and at no cost. The campaign is asking supporters to contribute 50 dollars, with the option to give from UGX 20,000 for those who may not be able to commit to the full amount. Smaller donations will be pooled and uploaded to the Global Giving platform, where each 50 dollars will be matched by 50 percent, increasing its value and impact. It is a simple but powerful reminder that meaningful giving does not always begin with a large amount. Sometimes it begins little by little, until enough is gathered to move books closer to children and possibility closer to community.

In Kasese District, many teenage mothers and out-of-school girls face steep barriers to education, income, and stability, leaving them excluded from opportunities that could help them rebuild their lives. The Empowering Futures Programme is working to change this by equipping marginalized youth with vocational skills in fashion, carpentry, and photography, alongside business training, mentorship, and market connections. This holistic approach helps young women build confidence, develop sustainable livelihoods, and contribute to more gender-equitable community development. With a goal of $2,500 and $1,902 still needed, this is a timely opportunity to support a programme that is already creating pathways toward resilience, enterprise, and long-term change for young people in Uganda.

In underserved communities across Kampala, many children grow up without books, computers, or safe learning spaces, and teachers often work without training or materials. That’s why 40 Days Over 40 Smiles Foundation built permanent learning infrastructure: the Angaza Resource Centre (ARC), launched in July 2023 at Merowa Junior School (Kibuli, Makindye Division), a child-friendly space with a library + computer lab, offering free literacy materials and digital skills training.

ARC supports both learners and educators: 1,500 in-school children served, 500 out-of-school children reached, plus 300 teachers supported and 200+ educators trained in practical teaching and digital skills.

And the most powerful part? Local resources built this, UGX 176 million raised by Ugandans, with monthly giving starting from UGX 10,000, powered by volunteers and community trust.
