Giving Opportunity | Every Child Deserves a Pair
Humane Uganda is inviting people to support the Shoe a Child in Uganda Campaign, an effort to provide shoes to children aged 3 to 15 years in Lira District. The campaign is calling for support through a cash contribution of UGX 10,000 per pair, or through donations of shoes that children no longer wear. With a target of 1,000 pairs, this is a practical opportunity to meet a simple but important need in a child’s life. A pair of shoes may look small from a distance, but it can mean comfort, dignity, protection, and the feeling of being seen. This is the kind of giving that steps directly into everyday need.

Giving Opportunity | Little by Little, Books Within Reach
Forty Days Over Forty Smiles Foundation is inviting people to give toward the Little by Little Campaign, an effort to establish mobile libraries in Kibuli so that children can access books easily and at no cost. The campaign is asking supporters to contribute 50 dollars, with the option to give from UGX 20,000 for those who may not be able to commit to the full amount. Smaller donations will be pooled and uploaded to the Global Giving platform, where each 50 dollars will be matched by 50 percent, increasing its value and impact. It is a simple but powerful reminder that meaningful giving does not always begin with a large amount. Sometimes it begins little by little, until enough is gathered to move books closer to children and possibility closer to community.

Giving Opportunity | Building Legacy for the Next Generation
As Nyakasura School prepares to celebrate 100 years on 26 March 2026, the centenary is opening up more than a moment of remembrance. It is creating a chance for old boys, old girls, students, and friends of the school to give toward something that will outlive the celebration itself. The call is to help build a modern laboratory and a new block, spaces imagined not just as infrastructure, but as an investment in the dreams, learning, and future of the next generation. This is an invitation to honour a century of excellence with a contribution that becomes part of Nyakasura’s next hundred years. Every gift, no matter the size, becomes part of that legacy.

Giving Opportunity | Empowering Futures for Girls and Young Mothers in Kasese
In Kasese District, many teenage mothers and out-of-school girls face steep barriers to education, income, and stability, leaving them excluded from opportunities that could help them rebuild their lives. The Empowering Futures Programme is working to change this by equipping marginalized youth with vocational skills in fashion, carpentry, and photography, alongside business training, mentorship, and market connections. This holistic approach helps young women build confidence, develop sustainable livelihoods, and contribute to more gender-equitable community development. With a goal of $2,500 and $1,902 still needed, this is a timely opportunity to support a programme that is already creating pathways toward resilience, enterprise, and long-term change for young people in Uganda.

Giving Opportunity | Build what lasts (Angaza Resource Centre, Kibuli)
In underserved communities across Kampala, many children grow up without books, computers, or safe learning spaces, and teachers often work without training or materials. That’s why 40 Days Over 40 Smiles Foundation built permanent learning infrastructure: the Angaza Resource Centre (ARC), launched in July 2023 at Merowa Junior School (Kibuli, Makindye Division), a child-friendly space with a library + computer lab, offering free literacy materials and digital skills training.
ARC supports both learners and educators: 1,500 in-school children served, 500 out-of-school children reached, plus 300 teachers supported and 200+ educators trained in practical teaching and digital skills.
And the most powerful part? Local resources built this, UGX 176 million raised by Ugandans, with monthly giving starting from UGX 10,000, powered by volunteers and community trust.
How you can give:
Join with a monthly contribution (from UGX 10,000)
Support learning materials and digital tools for children and teachers
Offer time/skills to strengthen community-led learning
What would change if more of us chose to fund the learning spaces our communities can truly own?

On 16th August 2025, Family Uplift Uganda will launch the UPLIFT Education Fund in Mawuta, Wakitaka–Jinja, as a bold step toward ending forced early marriages by keeping girls in school.
