Healing: Hurdling to wellness

Healing was the theme of our recently concluded Leaders' Experience Retreat that CivSource Africa was privileged to host with Rights 4 Her. Rights 4 Her is a women lead organization whose mission is to provide and promote sustainable solutions that will help improve the well being of all Lesbian, Bisexual, Queer and Transgender persons through advocacy, research, documentation, and capacity building. Co-hosting a Mopane` retreat with Rights 4 Her was a reaffirmation of the need to take care of leaders.

Transitions in NGOs: CivSource Africa Visits Afya na Haki.

CivSource Africa had a fantastic day on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022. We met the staff at Ahaki and talked and shared ideas about transitions in Ugandan non-governmental organizations.

Ahaki is an African Institute that creates information and strengthens advocacy capacity in the fields of health, human rights, and sexual and reproductive health rights using Africentric methods in a national and global context.

Kuonyesha Art Fund Learning Visit to Mali 2022

January 31st, 2021 marked the start of Kuonyesha Art Fund's Journey to Mali to attend the Seguo Art Festival and the Forum Maaya Africa themed – Arts and Maaya.

The celebrations began on February 1st, 2022. We were taken on a cultural, artistic, and entrepreneurial tour. We witnessed the city come to life just because of the vitality of the arts and many cultural events.
