Amanda Tumusiime, an associate professor at Makerere University and Head of Department of Visual Communications Design and Multimedia, shares her talent to meet the community's urgent needs. Her charitable efforts have spanned many years and various partnerships. Tumusiime's journey of using her artistic abilities to fundraise for positive community changes began in the 1990s when she participated in an exhibition titled Nyero Gilar Kitgum (Hope for Kitgum), which was organized with support from Uganda's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to benefit the traumatized Kitgum District in Northern Uganda.
