Giving Digest | Two Hundred Mothers, Two Hundred Little Lives
More than 200 babies immunised. Over 200 expectant mothers supported with Mama Kits. One community health initiative bringing protection, care and dignity closer to families in Kampala.
At Komamboga Health Centre III, the Rotary Club of Kisaasi Kyanja, working alongside the Rotaract Club of Kyanja, supported an immunisation activity and provided essential maternity supplies to expectant mothers. The initiative also included delivery bed steps to help mothers access maternity care more safely and comfortably.
The intervention demonstrates how community philanthropy can respond to practical needs identified by healthcare providers. Through volunteer service, resource mobilisation and collaboration, Rotary and Rotaract members helped strengthen maternal and child healthcare, recognising that protecting a child's future begins with supporting the mother and the community around them.
