Giving Digest | Keeping the Flow of Generosity Alive
A blood donation that could save a life. A sanitary pad that helps a girl remain in school. Clean drinking water that supports a healthier community. Sometimes, generosity begins with meeting the needs closest to us.
In Uganda, MBC Foundation is mobilising communities through its Flow of Life Campaign, an initiative that brings people together around blood donation, menstrual health, oral healthcare and access to safe drinking water. By encouraging people to contribute their time, knowledge, resources and skills, the campaign is making community participation central to addressing everyday challenges.
The initiative is grounded in a simple conviction: philanthropy belongs to everyone. Through partnerships with individuals, institutions and businesses, MBC Foundation is working to strengthen a culture of collective responsibility, where communities participate in shaping their own wellbeing. Its approach recognises that meaningful giving is not measured solely by financial contributions, but also by people's willingness to share what they have for the benefit of others.
