ENGIE ENERGY ACCESS EXTENDS SUPPORT TO CANCER PATIENTS

The Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) is grappling with patients abandoning treatment due to financial constraints. High transport and feeding expenses have become significant barriers for many individuals seeking cancer treatment at the institute. In response to this pressing issue, well-wishers have stepped forward to extend their support. Last week, staff members from Engie Energy Access, a company dedicated to providing solar energy in rural areas, donated an assortment of essential items to the Childhood Cancer department at UCI. The generous donations included diapers and nutritional support food such as milk, soya, and millet flour. These contributions are crucial as they help alleviate the financial burden faced by patients who struggle to afford food and other necessities while undergoing treatment. The UCI and its patients express their heartfelt gratitude to the donors, recognizing the significant difference their contributions make in supporting cancer patients on their treatment journey.
