Selfless giving is the art of living: Kawempe Home Care receives a gift from Relentless Group.
Giving to other givers encourages them to continue doing good in their communities. It solidifies their charitable actions and motivates generosity in ways we may not be able to measure. Have you considered giving to the local charity or community foundation? This was done for Kawempe Home Care by Relentless Group.
Kawempe Home Care is a 13-year-old organization was founded by a group of dedicated health professionals who wanted to help persons who were suffering from AIDS. They were thinking about residents of Kawempe, a town on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda.
The team headed out on July 27th, 2007, for their very first home-based HIV counselling and testing visit, armed with their past experience working in organizations that offered holistic care to patients and their families with HIV/AIDS and cancer. They tested a total of 12 persons that day, with 5 of them testing positive and being enrolled in the program.
The house has expanded by leaps and bounds in the 13 years since it opened its doors, and it continues to care for patients living with HIV/AIDS and cancer, as well as their families. The epidemic impacted their generosity, as it did many others. They valiantly remained open to people who required assistance.
During this tough time, the Relentless Group, which is linked with Worship Harvest Ministries, visited the children's hostel, and lavished love, presents, and celebratory cake on the children and their caretakers. The Relentless Group also provided the hostel with a brand-new water tank to provide a consistent supply of water for the children, caretakers, and the hostel.
Kawempe Home Care conveyed their thanks and the delight the team offered to the hostel's youngsters.
“It’s not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.” Mother Teresa
