A place called home for Mzee Isiiko Charles.
St Jude charity ministry
St. Jude's charitable ministry has as its stated mission the empowerment of marginalized community members, and as its stated purpose the enhancement of the well-being of such members. Poor families in multiple areas started receiving house visits in the month of February 2022. As early as April, while they were delivering counseling to youth in their community and visiting the old, the defenseless, and orphans, they came across Mzee Isiiko Charles's predicament, which struck their hearts. After discussing the situation further, the group decided to return and find Mzee some temporary housing. They each had to chip in, and they even got their friends involved to help out. A little madhouse was built for him with donations from members, friends, and even one of their parliamentarians. They were able to raise 1,090,000/= Ugandan Shillings through their efforts of mobilization. It was used toward the purchase of necessities like doors and windows, mattresses, and bedsheets in addition to iron sheets, poles, nails, Palins, and the like.
The primary motivation was to show solidarity with the human race in the face of tragedy and to convey a message of optimism and strength.
