Denis Nuwagaba

Denis Nuwagaba is a Career Strategist and Transformation Coach, certified by Coach Masters Academy (CMA-Singapore), with over 20 years of expertise across Africa in NGO project design, management, consulting, and leadership development. He has completed over 100 hours of coach training, practice and specializes in Organization Development (OD), Leadership Growth, Performance Management, and Career Transition Coaching. Denis’s focus is on guiding individuals, especially those feeling stuck, to navigate their professional journeys and achieve their career goals.

He holds a MSc in Public Health, an MA in Development Studies, a BA in Social Sciences, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Community-Based Rehabilitation—credentials that support his holistic coaching and consulting approach. Currently, Denis is a Strategic Leadership Coach with Harvard University’s Macy Institute’s Educators of Health Professions Online Coaching Program (2025-2026). The program emphasizes collaborative coaching, enhancing scholars’ self-awareness, clarity on career aspirations, strategic planning, and work-life balance.

Additionally, Denis is a Faculty Member at Transformational Leadership Unveiled (TLU), where he facilitates leadership sessions for emerging leaders on "Atomic Habits" and "The 15 Laws of Growth." He also coaches for Uganda Revenue Authority’s (URA) STEER Program, focusing on leadership effectiveness.

Since August 2024, Denis has supported GROWi, a leadership coaching initiative managed by Civsource Africa, Imprint-Uganda and International Coaching Federation (ICF-Uganda Chapter) impacting over 100 first-time CEOs and mid-level managers. Previously, he served as Director of Technical Services and Deputy Chief of Party at TPO Uganda, leading a large USAID/PEPFAR-supported project for 100,000 vulnerable children and their caregivers across Uganda’s 30 Districts.

Denis has provided Consulting Services with multiple organizations across health, capacity building, economic resilience, education, child protection, and disability inclusion in Uganda and several African countries including; South Sudan, Kenya, Mozambique and SierraLeone. Denis possesses exceptional skills in documentation and knowledge dissemination. He supported documentation of; "From Vulnerability to Resilience," which presents a model for localized OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children) programming in Uganda.
