GIVING DIGEST: Uganda Steps Into Destiny with New Digital Skilling Initiative for 200,000 Youth
At the Mantle of Deborah National Conference at Makerere University, First Lady Janet Museveni launched a transformative tech education programme set to skill over 200,000 Ugandan youth in digital innovation and cyber security. Spearheaded by Deborah Impact Projects Africa (DIPA) in partnership with Africa World Training Centre (AWFC) and OAFLAD, the initiative is a bold move toward equipping a generation to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
The programme bridges faith and future, empowering young Ugandans to become creators, not just consumers, of technology, with pathways to global job opportunities and entrepreneurial impact. More than a skills initiative, it’s a prophetic declaration: Uganda has a vital role in God’s agenda, on the continent and beyond.
It’s our time to rise. Our time to lead. Our time to build a digitally empowered, spiritually grounded nation.
Because destiny isn’t delayed, it’s being downloaded.
