Giving Digest: Running for Change | 2025 Absa KH3 7 Hills Run

The 2025 edition of the Absa KH3 7 Hills Run saw over 6,000 runners brave the morning downpour to champion a vital cause, keeping the girl child in school. Flagged off by KCCA Executive Director, Absa Bank Uganda’s Interim Managing Director, and KH3 Hash Master, participants took on the 5KM, 10KM, and 21KM races across Kampala’s legendary seven hills.

Under the theme “Change Her Story,” the event, held in partnership with Kampala Hash House Harriers (KH3), continues to break barriers in advancing girls' education. The proceeds will go toward initiatives that enhance access to quality education for girls, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In a thrilling 21KM showdown, Brian Adams Ategeka upgraded from last year’s silver to gold, clocking 01:24:32, while Evas Nasasira shattered records in the women’s category with a time of 02:06:02. Their stellar performances reinforced the Run’s reputation as one of Uganda’s premier sporting events.

Beyond the finish line, the real victory lies in the impact—more girls gaining access to education, empowered futures, and a stronger community. Every step counts, every runner contributes, and together, we are changing her story!
