Rotary and Rotaract Bukoto Clubs give to St Peter’s Primary School in Kabutemba, Gomba District

“We place very high importance on education because of the value it has in society,”Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
"Investment in education pays the finest interest,” as Benjamin Franklin once observed. Education is extremely important in everyone's life. It aids in the development of character, views, and intelligence. Regardless of how we were educated, each of us will have our own views and methods of doing things, but at the end of the day, our actual intellect rests inside the education we received and continue to get throughout our lives.
In advancing education initiatives, the Rotary Foundation assists Rotary members in advancing global understanding, goodwill, and peace through promoting health, delivering high-quality education, protecting the environment, and reducing poverty. Historically, Rotary clubs in Uganda have focused on education and health. The clubs have contributed to the education and health sectors over the years by running fundraising drives, volunteering their time, and giving financial resources to organizations in these fields.
Taking this into account, Bukoto's Rotary (more senior members) and Rotaract (young professionals) clubs generously contributed to the education of pupils at St. Peter's Primary School in Kabutemba, Gomba District. The two clubs have commissioned a library, staff room, and nursery blocks at St. Peter's Primary School, yet another demonstration of enthusiasm and generosity to the educational sector. The school was built by the Bukoto Rotary Club and completion achieved Monday, 20th December 2021. The return on this extraordinary generous investment by the Rotary and Rotaract clubs of Bukoto is incalculable.
According to the NilePost, the Club President Mercy K. Kainobwisho while commissioning the facility underscored the significance of education.
“We place very high importance on education because of the value it has in society,” she remarked.
Not only did the two clubs commission the school, but they also took the time to hold a medical camp at Bukalagi Health III, where they distributed free medications and key information on public health issues to the community, village health teams, and health professionals.
Rotary is deeply committed to the practice of philanthropy and ensuring that this virtue and practice is carried down through generations.
