CivSource South Africa
CivSource South Africa (NPC) is a newly established entity in this region that will operate in the space where philanthropy and civil society meet, fostering an environment that fosters mutually beneficial relationships and stewardship of entrusted resources. CivSource is dedicated to building a civil society that is sustainable, effective, and connected, advancing the dignity and voices of all people. We accomplish this by encouraging philanthropic practice that is reflective, responsive, and accountable.
We also facilitate open and informed conversations about philanthropic giving and civil society organizations, as we have done throughout 2022 with partners we have met, such as the Independent Philanthropy Association of South Africa [IPASA] and Women in Philanthropy South Africa [WiPSA].
As it collaborates with stakeholders in the region such as APN - The African Philanthropy Network and CAPSI [Centre for African Philanthropy and Social Investment], CivSource South Africa will build and promote philanthropic collaboration and good practice.
Our core work will evolve around mentoring and creating a body of knowledge about philanthropy and leadership, starting with Generation Next (18-35), and then moving on to emerging and current leaders.
