Located in the beautiful Kibale forest adjacent to Kibale National Park, you will find the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This jungle swamp is a popular tourist destination in Uganda, known for its stunning ecological diversity. Visitors are often amazed by the breathtaking scenery it offers.
For the past seven years, Patrick Tulihabwe, also known as Pato, has been a guide in the Bigodi wetland and the surrounding community walks. During this time, he has introduced countless visitors to the area's handmade items and shared fascinating insights into Tooro cultural history. Pato emphasizes the important role that clans play in this culture, as well as the vital contribution communities make to resource mobilization for the greater good. He also highlights the sense of freedom that comes from connecting with nature.
In this episode of Generous Movers, we invite you to join us on a journey through Bigodi wetland sanctuary in Western Uganda. Together, we will discover the significance of community walks for charitable causes and the importance of nature conservation.
