The AVPA has launched the African Healthcare Funders Forum:

The African Healthcare Funders Forum was established by the African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA), Ashoka, and the Social Innovation Circle with support from Boehringer Ingelheim.

Africa's top investors and social entrepreneurs will come together for the first time this year to change the continent's healthcare system. The goal of the meeting is to promote novel approaches to financing healthcare and help close the present financial gap.

The goal of the African Healthcare Funders forum is to equip funders and social entrepreneurs with the resources they need to accelerate sustainable growth at the scale necessary to have the greatest possible effect throughout the continent.

Impact leaders get access to the program's year-long schedule of networking and professional development opportunities. In September 2022, the Impact Leadership Programme will go out with a 12-part, three-month online event series where Grantmakers, debt providers, and private equity players can learn about and share the newest developments in impact investment and healthcare.

Social Innovation Circle, an established impact investing coaching team that has been working closely with Ashoka for over a decade to teach impact entrepreneurs and investors, has been enlisted to curate and lead the Programme.

Mark Cheng, Founder & Managing Partner of Social Innovation Circle, exclaims, "Social Innovation Circle is very excited to collaborate with leading partners and stellar experts to build this unique Impact Leaders Forum bringing together funders and founders dedicated to accelerating healthcare innovations in Africa."
