Right from its inception, one of the things CivSource aspired to contribute to is leadership bolstering. Having worked with civil society in Uganda in a variety of ways, one of the things we have become keenly aware of is that everything rises and falls on leadership. Thus in 2019, we started the Experience Leaders Retreat as a space for connection and learning between leaders of civil society organizations. The first retreat cohort was in January 2019 and consisted of 23 female CSOs drawn from a range of organizations. The second cohort was made up of 25 male leaders.
