Unplugged
In a season defined by burnout, frozen funding, and emotional fatigue across civil society, the Leaders’ Experience Wellness Retreat offered a much-needed pause. Hosted at Country Lake Resort, Garuga, the retreat invited leaders to unplug from their roles and reconnect with themselves, mind, body, and spirit. Through intentional movement, reflection, sacred rituals, and shared storytelling, participants explored what it means to lead from wholeness rather than exhaustion. From surrendering their gadgets in a symbolic ritual to releasing fear and shame into the fire, each moment peeled back layers of stress and reawakened purpose.
This experience reminded us that wellness is not a luxury; it’s a leadership imperative. A well leader is a wise leader, and in caring for ourselves, we become better equipped to care for our communities. Let this be your invitation to pause, reflect, and reclaim your inner fire.
