Facilitator and Executive Coach
Dr. Lydia Mpanga Sebuyiraisthe Director, Capacity Building at Imprint (U) Ltd, Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Global Health, University of Washington, and an internationally certified executive coach.Her executive coaching practice in Uganda and Kenya spans leaders and managers at C-Suite and top Talent in the private and health NGO sectors, especially in the context of culture or career change, leadership development and max-imising individual potential. Examples of impact: Lydia’s indi-vidual coaching of Regional Sales Managers in Nairobi Bottlers Coca Cola combined with leadership development of function managers improved the sales performance and employee engagement in that year. One of her coachees said of Lydia’s holistic coaching approach, “Coaching corporate women only on work issues will not work. We need executive coaches like you, who are not afraid to touch where it hurts.” As a Systemic Team Coach for an interagency team within one of Uganda Government’s Development partners, Lydia and her fellow coaches have facilitated improved team cohesion and warm relationships during the stressful COVID Pandemic, enabling them to pull together in Uganda’s re-sponse.
Lydia is responsible for business development of Imprint’s Training and Coaching function, and since 2015, has been the Site Facilitator for University of Washington’s online certifi-cate in Leadership and Management in Health, and a lead facilitator for Imprint's bespoke leadership programmes for corporate and NGO clients across Uganda and Kenya since 2012.
Lydia is an expert physician and teacher who has led world-class education and training programmes at the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) of Makerere University and Hospice Africa Uganda. She holds three Oxford University degrees: a Medical degree, a Bachelor’s degree in Physiological Sciences, and a Master’s degree; is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and holds an AoEC Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching with Distinction in presentation of her Coaching Model. Lydia is a certified user of Hogan Lead and LVI psychometric assessments and trained in AoEC’s Systemic Team Coaching Model. Lydia is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF).
In addition to having over 19 years’ clinical, educational and research experience in the UK, South Africa and in Uganda, Lydia brings a wealth of leadership and management experi-ence from her work in the health sector, both in public and NGO settings, in academia and in the private sector. She has strong facilitator, mentoring, writing and advocacy skills, and is experienced in curriculum and instructional material devel-opment.Lydia has facilitated successful women mentorship programmes for corporate clients including Coca-Cola, and is an expert facilitator of national and international dialogues, team-building and interactive strategic planning interven-tions
