Transforming Lives Through Knowledge | Omumanyi wa Salam 2025 is a Game-Changer

Since its inception in 2021, Salam TV’s Omumanyi wa Salam campaign has been more than just a competition, it has been a life-changing journey for its participants. This year, the initiative is back, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to deepen their knowledge of Islam, history, and global affairs while competing for prizes that could alter their futures forever.

With over 40 participants, the 2025 edition promises an engaging contest where contestants will be tested on their knowledge of Islamic history, theology, world affairs, and general knowledge. The ultimate reward? Life-changing prizes, including a Hajj pilgrimage, a land title, and an Umrah pilgrimage, among others.

But beyond the competition, Omumanyi wa Salam is a powerful tool for education and community empowerment. According to Hajji Karim Kaliisa, Managing Director of Salam TV and Salam Charity, the campaign is one of the station’s ways of giving back to the community. "We want to bridge the gap between Islam and the rest of the world while creating an avenue for knowledge-sharing and personal growth," he emphasized.

The initiative has received overwhelming support from partners such as Muzaata Hajji and Umrah Tours, Infotrust, Sumz, Prestige Margarine, and Salam Charity, who have played a crucial role in making this campaign a success over the years.

Hajji Abdussalaam Ali Kinobe, the face of Omumanyi wa Salam, urged participants to keep researching and expanding their knowledge, not just for the competition but for their personal and communal benefit. "Knowledge is a tool that empowers individuals and strengthens societies. We want our participants to carry this knowledge beyond the contest," he shared.

The impact of Omumanyi wa Salam extends beyond the prizes, it is shaping informed, knowledgeable, and engaged individuals who can contribute meaningfully to their communities. By providing a platform for intellectual growth, cultural exchange, and faith-driven learning, Salam TV is reinforcing its mission to promote Islamic knowledge, values, and culture across Uganda and beyond.

Through initiatives like Omumanyi wa Salam, giving is not just about material rewards, it is about equipping individuals with the tools to transform their own lives and the lives of those around them.
