The Uhuru Sickle Cell Run returns for its second edition on October 4, 2025, under the theme: “Running for Awareness, Together Against Sickle Cell.”

This isn’t just a run, it’s a movement. Organized by the Catherine Phil Sickle Support Initiative, the event is a chance to give with your steps, your presence, and your voice. By joining, you’re helping amplify awareness around sickle cell disease, reduce stigma, and fund critical programs like newborn screening and premarital testing.
