The ten-line poem named “Stay Home, Stay Safe” is intended to remind the world about death and the effect it leaves to the dear ones of the departed.

This week has been an incredible one. Our collection of stories includes poems from children. On Monday this week, she shared a poem from 7-year-old Annabel Malinga called “Let Us”. And today we share with you yet another incredible one. It is worth noting that children color of our world with fascinating experiences.

This poem was written by children at Shikhuyu Needy Care Nursery and Primary School, in Bududa District, Eastern Uganda.  The wonderfully crafted poem reminds us all and sundry about the impact of coronavirus in our midst. The poem points to health advocacy against the virus.

The style and the delivery technic are hard to miss.

The ten-line poem named “Stay Home, Stay Safe” is intended to remind the world about death and the effect it leaves to the dear ones of the departed. A likely reality with those who catch the virus. Enjoy.

Stay Home, Stay Safe!

Oh no

Gone too soon uncle Moris

Leaving a mother of four orphans

With nobody to help them fend for life

In deepened sorrow, we wail

Your friends restricted

Making the last goodbye

Of May his soul rest in peace

Indeed

Rest in peace sweet uncle…
